The Spirit of Playgroup Video
In celebration of turning 50, this new video on the Spirit of Playgroup features past playgroup members, such as City of Vincent’s Mayor Emma Cole, ABC Radio Perth’s Nadia Mitsopoulos, and other past and present playgroup members and staff, talking about what playgroup means for them.

We are pleased to launch our historical book, 50 Years of Playgroup in Western Australia, researched and written by local historian, Lucy Hair. The book details how the organisation was first established in 1972 with a small, talented group of parents who wanted to support the establishment and growth of playgroups across Western Australia. It follows the initial struggles to get funding, the substantial growth, and the eventual expansion of programs and support services across WA.
Filled with lovely drawings and photos from our archives, the book also features popular highlights over the years, such as our Play School and Wiggles concerts, our various publications, the shop, and the large community field days and fun days.
