Feathered Friends
Aren’t these chickens cute! One of our playgroups made them and we just had to share!
What you need:
- Paper plates
- Googly eyes
- Feathers
- Orange card or paper
- Patty pans
- Glitter and sequins to decorate
- Glue
Give each child a paper plate and let them decorate it with glitter, sequins, textures or paint. Once they have finished take the plate and fold two sides down to make wings, next fold the top down slightly to make a head. Help the children add two patty pans to the head and glue googly eyes to the inside of each. Glue a triangle of orange card to the bottom of the head to make a beak and attach two feet to the bottom to make the legs. Don’t forget to add feathers to the wings so your chicken can fly and hang them up at playgroup for a fun, colourful display.
