New Video: Bringing the generations together!

Intergenerational Playgroups are so special to us at Playgroup WA. And you can see why with our latest video!

These groups are a wonderful way to build beautiful relationships for both the families and seniors.

They offer opportunities to broaden a child’s life experiences, build acceptance of older people and ‘normalise’ difference.

They are fun and open to everyone and do not necessarily require families to be related to the seniors. In fact, many of our playgroups include seniors from the community who play an active role within the group from playing with the children to offering support to the parents – whether it be by making them a hot drink or holding baby to free up the parent’s hands.

Families attending Intergenerational Playgroups frequently tell us that they find the experience unique as the playgroups are often smaller, more intimate and feel like family.
