Playgroup WA strives to be inclusive and welcoming for everyone - this page provides resources to help you and your child prepare for and navigate our events comfortably.

Playgroup WA Annual Fun Day

Getting There
Location
Parking

Car parking is available for show attendees off Ariti Avenue in the carpark outside the Showground main gate, plus within the showgrounds.

Avoid parking on road verges around the Showgrounds or in area adjacent to Yellagonga Regional Park. Parking within these locations is not permitted for show attendees, and the police will issue infringement notices to offenders.

Public Transport

The nearest train stations are Joondalup and Edgewater, located on the Joondalup train line. You will need a bus closest to Ariti Avenue, Wanneroo.

Event Map & Schedule

This is a layout of the event space, highlighting key areas. The map is numbered for easy navigation, #20 is the Playgroup WA Welcome Tent where you can find additional information and assistance.

Food & Drinks

Brownes Dairy will be giving out free yogurt pouches at #10 & Healthway will be giving out free fruit at #3 on the map.

Please note there are no water refill stations at the event, we advise you to bring a water bottles along with you

Inclusion Support Staff

There will be inclusion support staff on site for anyone who needs extra assistance. Amiee and Lyndsey will be stationed in the Sensory Zone (#25–#27) and can be easily identified by their pink vests.

Earmuff Rental

A small supply of infant and child earmuffs will be available to borrow from the Welcome Tent(#20) for little ones with additional sensory needs.

You’ll just need to leave your details when borrowing and return them before leaving the event grounds.

Chill Out Zone

Need a break from the hustle and bustle? Visit the Chill Out Zone (#26), a quiet space away from the main event area with bean bags, blackout tents, as well as fun sensory activities. Children can explore oats play (#25) and cloud dough (#27), ideal for those who regulate through touch and physical sensations.

Communication Boards

Communication boards will also be available at the Welcome Tent (#20) and activity-specific communication boards will be placed at each Playgroup WA activity station to support non-verbal communication.
