Snow painting
This is a really fun sensory play idea, but it does get a little messy! This snow paint also dries puffy so the finished result is very cool.
What you need:
- Paper or card
- Shaving cream
- Glitter
- PVA glue
- Things to decorate your snowman – sequins, card, googly eyes etc.
Fill a container with shaving cream and place it in the fridge for a couple of hours (or overnight if you have time). When it is cool pour PVA glue over the top (using a ratio of equal parts shaving cream to glue). Add some glitter and you are ready to paint!
You can also add some peppermint for an extra Christmassy feel! Kids can paint whatever they like, but a snowman is the perfect fit for this snow inspired paint.
Extended Play Idea:
This really makes a great sensory snow activity as well. Pop the “snow” into a tub and give the little ones scoops, cups and other items and let them get stuck into it!
